To start a tire wall

And so it started with one used tire.  decent sidewall,  a little low on tread, perhaps a nail in it.

Put some dirt in it,

Pack it in tight, and fill another.  And so it goes, for another 538 times.

Making room for Plumbing

Sometimes you have to "finesse" the rocks out of the dirt.  So we rented a Jackhammer   (aaarrr)  and used it here to get deeper to accomodate plumbing into the house under the Tire Wall Foundation... and also in the septic line that had some stubborn stone that refuse to be budged by the spade.  I couldn't lift the thing, but Joe was fairly handy with it. A jackhammer will make much shorter work of rock in the way.

Add alot of digging and some 2x4's....

(notice the grasses growing in...)

Starting The Haus!!
